Daves Art Pawn Shop Deep Ellum - 1988

Jen began writing songs as a teenager after hearing live music in Deep Ellum, in Dallas TX and began performing at Dave's Art Pawn Shop on Fridays (Pictured above in 1989). Jen emerged from the musical hot bed of Deep Ellum where artists such as Reverend Horton Heat, The New Bohemians, Old 97's, Lisa Loeb and The Buckpets got their start.

It was nearly two decades later while living on a Sonoma County vineyard when Jen rediscovered her music and began performing live in Occidental every Friday in 2009.

In August of 2014 Jen reunited with the heros of her childhood. This all star cast included her dad Craig Petersen, her uncle Mad Dog Mark (now Santa Mark) and close family friends Tom Yeaser and Bob Kassouf. These were the men who inspired Jen to play music as a kid, perform live and write her own songs, so she too could join in the family hootenannys.
